Featured Finds 005

This post is the fifth instalment of a weekly series in where I share a list of the five coolest things I’ve found (or explored) that week.

1. Producer & Composer Spotlight: Ludwig Göransson

The Making Of “Wakanda” With Ludwig Göransson | Presented By Marvel Studio’s Black Panther

The Making Of Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” With Ludwig Göransson

I originally came across the second video around the time it was released. Listening to the newly released Black Panther soundtrack, I was reintroduced to Ludwig’s work and was happy to see that Genius had again decided to feature him in their ‘Deconstructed’ series, I only wish that the video was much longer.

I’m a big fan of Ludwig Göransson, for those that don’t know, he’s probably better known for his film compositions, scoring for projects such as Black Panther, Creed, Fruitvale Station, Central Intelligence, and many more.

2. Free Vintage Synths Kontakt Library

Synths-1 Is A Free Oberheim, DSI, Yamaha DX7, Roland Super JV & Moog Collection For Kontakt. Find more information here.

3. Eva Vergilova – Jade Vine (Original):

I subscribed to Eva’s channel a few years ago after hearing her cover of Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’. Her skill and style on the guitar are just so captivating to watch, especially how she’s playing the instrument starting at 1.30 (I’m unsure if this particular playing style has a name).

4. Quote I’m pondering:

“There is nothing outside of yourself that can ever enable you to get better, richer, stronger, or smarter. Everything is within. Everything exists. Seek nothing outside of yourself.” – Miyamoto Musashi
